The Pump House Restaurant Time Lapse Video

The Doerre Construction team completed the renovation of the former industrial pump house in March 2016, making it into a fine dining destination on the Catawba River in Rock Hill’s Riverwalk development.

Construction began in May of 2015 to turn the massive concrete building that pumped almost five million gallons of water per day to the Celanese plant into the upscale restaurant it is now.   Attention to detail was paramount on this project.  A steel framework had to be constructed around and through the existing structure to add support and create new interior space.  It also created the cantilevered balcony extending out over the river.  Other highlights include a 2-story temperature controlled wine cabinet in the main dining room that holds more than 900 bottles.  These are just a few of the details that make The Pump House Restaurant an amazing place, but the real “wow” factor comes from the scenic views of the Catawba river from almost every vantage point in the restaurant.

It took a total team effort to complete this complex project.   We are grateful for this opportunity to Create a Grand Opening for great owners and their partners!

Doerre sponsors charity golf tournament benefiting the Folds of Honor Foundation

It is great to be partners with a company that shares our core values like QuikTrip.  A few weeks ago we helped sponsor and participated in QuikTrip’s charity golf tournament benefiting the Folds of Honor Foundation.

This year QuikTrip donated $500,000 to the Folds of Honor foundation.  Roughly half of the donation came from this year’s tournament. The donation will provide 100 scholarships to children of fallen or wounded soldiers. The impact of this is beyond measure and the kids and families are forever grateful.

Additionally this year QuikTrip blew past a significant milestone. They have now donated over $1,000,000 to the FOH and United Way thanks to this tournament.

QuikTrip and Folds of Honor played this video below during the reception after the golf tournament.  It is about 5 minutes long but well worth your time to learn more about this organization that Doerre helped support in partnership with QuikTrip.  See below:

Charlotte Regional Partners Golf Tournament

Doerre Construction supported the Friends Underwriting Economic Development and the Charlotte Regional Partnership annual golf tournament, with proceeds funding scholarships that allow regional economic developers and their staffs to attend professional development classes.

A big reason why Charlotte, NC is a winning region is because of the efforts of the professional economic developers in our area. They both meet the needs of their existing industries and collaborate with the Partnership to market their counties as integral parts of our vibrant region. The developers’ successes help us all, and we are happy to do our part to help them.

With the funds raised by this tournament, five scholarships were awarded to economic development practitioners from Gaston County Economic Development Commission, Lancaster County Economic Development Corp., Stanly County Economic Development Commission and York County Economic Development Board.
