The Shops at University Parkway Retail Building
The Vision
Aston Properties, owners of an outparcel in the Target anchored Shops at University Parkway in Winston-Salem, had a vision to build a new 6,000 SF shell building. The project had a tight timeline due to a looming construction blackout around the holidays, so they partnered with the Doerre team to help achieve this vision.
The Project
This project included the demolition of the existing parking lot, and ground-up construction of a 6,000 SF steel frame brick veneer/stucco retail building including all associated site work. The second phase of the project was completed by another general contractor and included the buildout of a Chipotle and Aspen Dental. To help the owner meet their deadline, these build outs were done in tandem with the shell construction and required complex project management to ensure a successful outcome.

The Grand Opening
