Scott Clark Toyota
The Vision
Scott Clark Toyota had been a landmark on Independence Boulevard since the early 80s—but the state’s plans to widen and limit access on Independence were a big concern for Scott Clark. On the heels of a successful project for Scott in Gastonia, he called on Doerre Construction to help him review and analyze several expansion and relocation opportunities along the Independence corridor. After two years of visiting sites, budgeting different scenarios, and exhausting the available options, Scott Clark purchased 18 acres from Rick Hendrick just east of I-485 in Union County. He then put his team in place to design and build the largest Toyota dealership in the Southeast. Doerre Construction was involved in the project from its conception and steered the team to an on-time delivery in July of 2008.
The Project
Scott Clark Toyota is a 254,049-square-foot state-of-the-art facility, which is the largest Toyota dealership in the Southeast. The level of finishes and workmanship are first class, and considered superior within the industry.
