Babalu Restaurant

The Vision

The project team transformed the former Cantina 1511 Restaurant space located on East Boulevard in the Dilworth Neighborhood of Charlotte, NC—a structure that was previously vacant—into a new restaurant space for Babalu. The building was left vacant for many months after Cantina 1511 relocated to their new location.  Babalu leased the space and made plans to completely renovate and expand the building.

The Project

This project involved a complete renovation of the old Cantina 1511 space into an upscale new restaurant space. Attention to detail was paramount on this project; our team completely renovated the interior and exterior of the building replacing all of the buildings plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems as well as increasing the patio space.  The old porch area was completely demoed and a new building addition was added which increased the restaurant’s footprint.
